The world requires daring leadership, and leaders are having to develop new skills to meet the challenges of business in today’s unpredictable climate.
Julia Kerr Henkel, MD of Lumminos and a Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator, is hosting the next Dare to Lead online training series next month, starting on 15 July. The curriculum is offered in a six-part virtual series of four hours each and is spread across the month of July.
According to Brené Brown’s research, the number one trigger for shame in men and women in the workplace today is the fear of irrelevance.
“For so many reasons, notwithstanding the Covid-19 pandemic, many people are feeling vulnerable, that emotion we all experience during times of with uncertainty, risk and emotional exposure. To counter this, many are drawing on the practical tools and community this programme provides to build the necessary self-awareness and skillset to weather their environments and current realities,” says Julia.
“Leading, managing and working in today’s reality, requires a great deal of courage,” says Julia. “Courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, observable and measurable. These skill sets include rumbling with vulnerability, empathy and compassion, determining and operationalising one’s values, braving trust and learning to rise after setbacks.”
Those working in the NGO/NPO sector are offered a substantial price discount, in support of these ‘courage catalysts’ and the brave work they do in their communities.
